Minnie Wilde, indie clothing line and eponymous boutique opened the doors to their second boutique in the Mission District of San Francisco May 20, disclosed co-founders Terri Olson and Ann D'Apice. Thanks to a local buzz, profiles in national magazines such as Lucky and a spot on the Style Network, Minnie Wilde?s vintage inspired clothing has attracted more attention than the original Hayes Valley store can handle. ?We love this space and have no plans to give it up," says Terri Olson, the designer of the Minnie Wilde clothing line, "but we've outgrown it after four years.? Triple the size of the original boutique, Minnie Wilde?s second home in the Mission retains the line?s trademark cuteness and adorable charm. A pink and red awning winks at passersby, enticing shoppers to browse among horse memorabilia and sweet birds in flight. Customers can slip inside the pink dressing room to try on one of their signature bomber jackets?a must have in any local fashionista?s closet.
Minnie Wilde Mission will carry the limited-edition Minnie Wilde line in a different variety of colors and fabrics than the Hayes store, as well as handmade one-of-a kind items and jewelry crafted by Olson and D'Apice, and more styles from local and up and coming designers including some menswear. Some of the small lines they currently carry are PinkSpike tees(SF), Superfox jewelry (Brooklyn), Swimmer accessories (Japan), Nooworks tees (SF), and KillerTees (SF). "Minnie Wilde?s indie spirit is popular with kids who live in Mission, so it?s natural fit,? D?Apice says. The girls Wilde won?t forget their Hayes Valley roots, but look forward to welcoming devotees of flirty fashion in their new neighborhood.
