The Madonna items include th scandalous silk metal tinsel gold hot hot pants (only one in the world) worn by the Material Mom in her "Sex" book and could bring up to 40,000, as well and one of the famous white wedding gowns from Madonna's "Like a Virgin" tour. The luxurious, one of a kind Diana Ross gown is the world's first made entirely of Swaroski crystal and is valued at a cool $ 50,000.


A special item to be displayed at Monday's Press Conference is Van Pier's prototype red dress worn by Dustin Hoffman in the hit film, "Tootsie," and expected to fetch $ 25,000. All of the outrageous stagewear was designed by Van Pier, who has created fashions for literally hundreds of rock videos over the past two decades and is planning a highly anticipated new line of Rock Couture that will blend streetwear with glamour. "I want to turn ordinary people into rock stars," Van Pier said.


Van Pier's entry into the world of rock 'n' roll came in the early 1980's when he was hired by MTV to create a hip new image for the station's Veejays. During that time he was introduced to a young singer named Madonna who was without a budget for an album cover. Van Pier came to Madonna's rescue.
